Preparing for Craft Show Season: How I Get My Booth Ready to Shine
The Sparkle Before the Show
As soon as fall hits and the holiday season starts peeking around the corner, my mind automatically goes into craft show mode. That’s my cue to pull out the beads, dust off my displays, and start getting everything ready for my DIY Bead Buffet.
I love this time of the year — the prep is half the fun (said no one ever)! I get to restock my focals and retire the old ones, design my table for the season, and imagine all the people who’ll stop by to make something special. If you’ve ever done a craft show (or want to), here’s a peek into how I prepare behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly.
Sort, Restock, and Refresh
The first thing I do is go through every focal bead I own — which is honestly a whole event on its own. I decide which ones I’ll consistently stock for the season and which themes fit the vibe (holiday, glam, everyday sparkle, etc.).
Next, I check my supplies for all the things I know will sell out fast:
- Beadable pens/refills
- Keychains
- Bookmarks
- Wine stoppers and bottle openers
If I notice gaps, I restock early so I’m not panicking the week before a show.*
